- Unmet speed. Typically 32 cycles in 10 minutes.
- Tricky samples? Ideal for samples with high concentrations
of inhibitors.
- Outstanding quality. Enhanced mass-transport
gives rapid reaction kinetics.
- No blocks but conventional formats. Normal PCR-tubes
Volume range from 20 µL up to 200 µL.
The PCR process is covered by several
patents owned by Roche Molecular Systems and F.Hoffman-La
Roche Limited. |

qPCR in 10 minutes. SuperConvection™
gives instantaneous and homogenous thermal equilibration,
cutting thermocycling times to seconds. The QuanTyper™-48
is the first instrument which has a capacity of 48
individual 0.2 mL PCR-tubes and features real-time detection
and HRM capability.
Sequence verified detection in 90 minutes. QuanType™r-48
gives not only quantitative data in 10 minutes but can also
be used to prepare samples for diagnostic sequencing. Combined
with Capillary Electroforesis (not provided by AlphaHelix),
this gives at least 300 bases of dideoxy sequence data,
providing a new strategy to fight diseases like HIV and
avian flu. It is also an effective tool for human identification
in forensics and transplantation surgery as well as to identify
bacteria types with the powerful MLST-methodology. (Read
more about MLST at www.mlst.net.) |

QuanTyper™-48 is the first superconvective
qPCR instrument in the world. Moreover, it is the worlds
most rapid instrument in terms of ramping a certain reaction
volume in conventional PCR-tubes.
During the development process, quite outstanding qPCR-analyses
have been obtained by AlphaHelix and in cooperation with
prominent partners worldwide.
