The SuperConvection technology and
AmpXpress enable very fast and accurate
PCR assays at 20 µl scale
without compromising sensitivity
or specificity, thereby reducing
run times to minutes instead of
hours.
Compared to conventional
thermal cyclers, where thermal homogenization
occurs by convection at normal gravity
(1 x g), AmpXpress utilizes
SuperConvection, at 3000 x g,
together with extreme heating and
cooling, to enable previously unachievable
temperature ramping rates (measured
in-tube!) and instant thermal homogenization
within the samples, that lead to
more efficient amplification and
time savings.

Time
to result is dramatically reduced
when using AmpXpress. A 40 cycle three-step
program can be run in 20 minutes!
AmpXpress features a unique and
sophisticated control system for in-tube
temperature measurements of the reaction
temperature. This allows for accurate
monitoring of reaction temperature,
including degree of thermal homogenization,
in real time. In-tube temperature
measurement is a prerequisite for
truly fast PCR and ensures that EVERY
run is a temperature calibrated one.
With AmpXpress there is no need to
call for calibration or use special
calibration discs!
